Attendance and Absences
- If your child is not well enough to come to school please telephone on the morning of the first day of absence and follow this with a letter when he/she returns. If we are not notified of the reason for an absence we are obliged to register it as unauthorised. Attendance figures for all schools are collected.
Holidays
- The following is taken from Milton Keynes Council pamphlet 'Attendance at School'.
- "Parents are strongly urged to avoid booking family holidays during term time as it will disrupt their child's education. There is no right to take a child out of school for such a holiday. However, if the parents apply to their child's school, they may be granted up to 2 weeks (10 days) absence in a school year."
