The St Andrew's and Sherington Church of England Schools' Partnership

  Religious Education

  • Through the teaching of religious education we aim to develop our children to be reflective and to understand the attitudes, beliefs and religious practices of all sections of our society. We follow the agreed Milton Keynes RE Syllabus and teach this through specific units of work. For example, bible stories, special occasions and celebrations.

  Collective Worship

  • There is a daily act of collective worship. Assemblies are theme based and cover the celebration of key festivals, religious and moral themes, supported by the daily life of the children. No specific denominational instruction is given and parents have the right to withdraw their child from any religious activity if they so wish. The Rector is involved in worship in the school and services for major festivals are held in the church.
