Behaviour
- It is the aim at Sherington that every member of the school community feels valued and respected, and that every person is treated fairly and well. We are a caring community, whose values are built on mutual trust and respect for all.
- At Sherington we have Golden Rules. These are displayed around school and used daily with the children to reinforce good behaviour.

- We aim to recognise good behaviour as it happens and praise the children for behaving well. All children are able to behave well and when they do we like to "reward" them through verbal praise, stickers, special jobs or in assemblies.
- However, everyone makes mistakes and when a child's behaviour is inappropriate we give them effective reprimands and reminders of our 'Golden Rules'. These might include missing playtime, being sent to another class or contacting parents to discuss ways of working together.
