Music at Sherington is a practical and enjoyable activity. Each class has a weekly music session and the whole school meets for a singing session. We also incorporate singing when we celebrate many special occasions throughout the year such as Harvest, Christmas, Leavers assembly and Mothers Assembly. The school is well resourced with a wide variety of percussion instruments.
Through their musical activities the children learn to listen to and appreciate a range of music, sing to different audiences, compose their own music, perform their own music and accompany music with percussion.
