Any parents in the village with children who are 3 years old and over who would like to visit the school with a view to registering should contact 610470 to make an appointment.
The school is at present updating the future intake registers and projected numbers, and would be very grateful for your co-operation.
The school currently requires a part-time Caretaker. If you would like to join the staff of this friendly school please apply to The Headteacher, Sherington CE First School, School Lane, Sherington, Bucks MK16 9NF.
The children are learning 'All About Me' this term. They have been doing activities and talking about eyes.
They were lucky enough to have a visit from Mr Richards and his guide dog Venice.
They learnt how blind people can read and Mr Richards showed them how he typed Braille.
The children have also been bringing in photos of when they were babies and the others have been trying to guess who is who.
It's not easy.
The AGM is set for Tuesday 10 March in the Village Hall with an 8 o'clock start.
There will be a guest speaker and the meeting will finish with refreshments.
It is hoped that there will be enough parents to form a new committee to keep Playgroup going.
If you would like any further details about Sherington Playgroup please contact any committee member (details above).

Apologies that a skip did not arrive in Sherington during January.
Milton keynes Council resceduled the dates by two weeks because of Christmas and the New Year.
The bulk skip will be available in Perry Lane from 10 to 12 February and in the car park opposite 3 Leys View from 24 March to 26 March.
Three bins have now been ordered and these are being sponsored by Charlesberry Kennels (so there will be no charge to Counci Tax payers).
As mentioned previously, one bin will be near the layby outside Sherington School.
The Parish Council will be debating where to locate the other two bins at its next meeting on 3 February.
Bags and scoops will be available to purchase from Sherington Post Office, Virginia House Stores and Charlesberry Kennels.
Undergrounding of Electricity in Church End
This project is nearing completion and we hope that it will enhance the appearance of Church End, which is a conservation area in the village.
Site meetings have taken place at the two hazard spots, ie Cross Albans Hill and Chicheley Roundabout.
Representatives from Milton Keynes Council and Thames Valley Police met with the Parish Council Chairman, Barry Holliss and our MK Councillor, Mrs Pat Seymour.
Cllr Pat Seymour is anxious to hear of any accidents or near accidents that have occurred recently.
Our Tree Warden, Mr Archie Whatton has had a nasty accident recently. We wish him our good wishes for a speedy recovery.
